wake up

ok, so i am finally starting to shake off that awful "burnt out" feeling.

i'm finally making and just in time for my 32947928 deadlines!

i'm doing a material study with knitting and am currently knitting newspapers...

let's just say, my hands are black.

These are some images. The origami one is in process but I probably will not keep going with it. I don't think the newspaper is for me. gahhh

bad storm

today was the first time in a long time that i brought something to my fiber critique that i was not at least 75% happy with or proud of. maybe it's stress from moving, or working, or the fact that i have only slept about 12 hours this week in total. but bad excuses aside, i sucked today and it made me sad.

i don't know what i'm doing or where i'm going with my work lately.

the negativity is brewing like a hurricane-torndao hybrid. 

i just really need to reevaluate my process and materials and how they are going to affect the whole picture.

there's my negativity creeping up again.

what happened to my senior goals of being positive? 

oh i see, they have been slaughtered.

but don't worry. it will be reborn again

kewpie love

So there is a new sculpture up by the Gao brother's in front of the kemper museum.

Every time I see Lenin's giant head with that miss mao on top, I want it to be my head with the kewpie doll on top. amazing, right?

i'm not saying that baby kewpie is using my political ideals to rule a mega country for better or for worse...

but now everyday at school all i can think of is kewpie.
